Kudos, Ghana Police

The police in its resolve to create an atmosphere devoid of fear and panic over the months have intensified its patrol activities not only in the evenings but in the mornings as well.
Vehicular traffic these days have been brought under immense control, all due to the fact that, the police have been doted along some major routes known for their susceptibility to heavy vehicular traffic.

The “night life” of a sort in the life of every individual these days to a larger extent is living in peace and absolute tranquillity.

Not until its recent razing down by fire, the majority of our women traders in Makola market and their counterparts women plying their trading activities in other notable business locations in the major cities of Accra carry out their trading activities deep into the night, a phenomenon which is unusual of the past, largely due to the activities of miscreants which is now fading away due to the heavy presence of the police everywhere.

Something again worth noting is the forces innovative measures that have led to the raising of temporal police stations by way of mounting canopies along some part of the capital, residents and a phenomenon all users of the Sprintex road, passing through Manet junction, both in Tema and Accra respectively would not only attest to this as a fact, but equally, its benefits.

The forces quick response to unfortunate tendencies like accidents, car breakdowns and other natural phenomena associated with our everyday struggle has seen a tremendous improvement likewise its coverage of other social activities like state functions, sporting activities and the lots.

It certainly comes as no surprise with the forces recent successes chalked in the area of clamping down on the activities of armed robbers, smoking out of miscreants who have over the years put communities and individuals in fear, reducing the carnage on our roads and many others.

The nation over the years indeed have bemoaned the Police Force for the ills there were and have been associated with, but the forces recent strives is beginning to restore the lost public trust and, we as a nation do entreat and hope that such enviable strives do not be a “nine days’ wonder” but continues unabated.

  1. Indeed, the ubiquitous presence of the police on our streets is a morale booster for all law abiding citizens and a night mare for the criminals..

But sadly, the ills of the police instituion continues unabated...i saw a day light robbery of a police man extorting few Ghana cedis from a sweat dernched Trotro Driver...for virtually no Offense
More work needs to be done on the INtegrity of Ghana Police Service
