FARE THEE
WELL COMRADE
When we leave
the shores of our newly created home,
There shall
still linger, the fond memories we created yesterday
Tears and smiles shall signal our departure
We shall meet,
but it would only remind us of our cherished past
It was just
yesterday, but they claim it four years
With our bags
and baggage, we left home
Little had we
know that
It a journey of
home away from home
Our thoughts are
filled with unsung memories
Of the
friendship and brotherly love
we have forge together
when YOU slump
in the warmth of your bed
and it no longer
the morning bells nor the talking drum
for silence
period, that awakens us
it then that it
would dawn on us
our friendship
and home is no more
dear friend, we
shall call, but no answer
silence shall
indeed welcome us with sorrow
farewell
brother, farewell sister
home indeed is
where the traveler goes after
a long journey
