Tell me the difference between a garden and a bush (forest)…

H.E John Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana
Pastor Myles, thank you for uncovering to me once more, another secret of life; it is all about leadership and leadership simply is management.
The success of every social entity or institution takes management. And the BEST of Managers is the SELF MANAGER (Personal Leadership), not the External Manager (National Leadership).

Apostle Paul says and I love this, for if a man does not know how to rule his own house (SELF), how will he take care of the church of God (Nation/ office of National leadership? (1st Timothy 3:5(NKJV)… the reason why the nations, especially, the one I belong cries foul when it comes to leadership is managers who have lost it right from their closets (HOMES).

As individuals too, we have blamed others for long because we have also lost grips of our personal selves.

I would have helped mourn for my dear self and nation, if only my tear drops could have equate that of a fountain.

Myles shares an opinion I strongly  with him on;

“The greatest and the most perfect government on planet earth which everybody is looking for happens to be a surprise, the greatest and most successful government on earth is self-government. It is the ultimate government” (Myles Munroe 2014)

The best of leadership on earth is what is termed self-government. God according to the Late Myles Munroe knows not what is called in our earthly parlance, institutional government; but self-government.

So invariably, how successful a national government becomes starts from individual homes. Within this Individual homes are personal leaders, who must learn to manager their lives well before thinking of leading others. The accumulative effect then is; national leadership becomes a failure when personal leadership within our homes is nothing but despicability.

Wow… I think I have had answers to questions that have been a sort of a border for years now. Questions like, why Africa is poor, while the west seems to flourish… and to be more contextual, why my dear nation Ghana is extremely struggling even in her state of abundance. Why are we in the dark, when others know light all days long? I know what you are thinking, “The guy is going to play politics, far from it!”

The politics we do in our homes becomes our politics nationally. So if what you do early in the mornings is to defend senselessly even the indefensible, then don’t be surprise to see/hear the National politician move heaven and earth to defend even what you in your wisdom would term as lies. At least common-sense should tell us, the change we look for is what we are. We do wrongs
personally, and the end result becomes the public wrong.

We have bad personal managers…and if the person cannot manager himself, how then can he manage others?  Probably we only mock ourselves, because God is not mocked… (Galatians 6:7). It worries me when I see people preach what they are not themselves. We appear to be a people who behind the cloak of being a Christian nation have perpetuated the ills and woes our nation suffers today. What does the bible for that matter, Christianity promise; comfort, joy, success but at a price. How then do we kind of suffer the contrary? Do we refrain from paying the price, or we are not Christians??? Hmm…the good old book has the answer, “if a man thinks he is something that he is not, he only deceives his soul”

We live in a nation of people, who sleep all day long and expect the lights to light their homes in the evenings, when truly, they have not put in place what it takes the lights to be on in the evenings…the myopic would think I make reference to “dumsor” but it’s deep!

A garden is a place of order, hence its beauty. The same cannot be said of a bush which is a place of disorder.

We live in situations where our very ways and
dealings define disorderliness and seek to enjoy instead of reaping the products of what we help sowed.

Don’t ask God to move all Goliath in your way. Don’t ask God to move all the troubles in your way. The troubles make you identify yourself. The bad leadership we appear to be running from since 1957 till date, and kind of not find the answer to is “us”.

The answer to the incompetence we speak of as a nation is with ourselves. It is not in the tenure change in government, the NPP and the NDC as an “US” government is a product of the person “YOU”. Therefore, the change we need is with “YOU” as a person.

I’m signing-out. And at this very juncture, I would want to side with Dr. Abu Sakara and his CPP cohorts that, Ghana must work again! It only means, work on the person you.
